What is Deliverance?
DELIVERANCE IS GOD’S DESIGN INTRODUCTION
This is the first of a series of teachings on the subject of Deliverance Is God's Design. The purpose of this blog's subject is to help open the eyes of today’s believers to the spirit realm, particularly focusing on demonic activities, how they affect our lives and the process of being released from their influence or grasp. This process is referred to as – Deliverance.
Deliverance is a subject that merits the devotion of New Testament believers due to the extensive importance laid on it in the bible. There are numerous references in the New Testament pertaining to demon-related cases with the ministry of Jesus. It has been estimated by many Bible scholars that approximately a quarter of the miracles Jesus did were casting out demons from people. If any subject in the word of God has been given such emphasis, certainly that subject deserves our attention. It says in the book of Hosea 4:6 KJV “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” The twentieth-century believers are being exposed to many kinds of spirits that come as ‘angels of light’ yet are disruptive and destructive. Many Christians who today are struggling with physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual problems could be really struggling with demonic problems and do not even know it, thereby buttressing the word of God. Hosea’s scripture reference also serves to demonstrate how very important it is for us, the New Testament Christians, to truly know and understand our Christ, His Laws and His power or His resolve to punish sin, this scripture also demonstrates that the devil does not necessarily destroy the church (us), but rather it is lack of knowledge (understanding), that actually destroys us.
The Prophet Isaiah also mourned in the same words when he said…
“Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge.”
Isaiah 6:13.
As a result, the knowledge, whether of deliverance; the information about God’s law; or the activities of the devil and the methodology of his operation, deserve our attention.
